2006
source: Wakeboarding Magazine

Opens with a clip of the opening credits from Falcon Beach

Interviewer: How much wakeboarding experience did you have before? You know...

Steve: I really, I really didn't have, umm, I've been behind the boat for like, uh, skiing and...

Interviewer: What boat was that, that was like a? Yeah, that old...

Steve: Old jalopee, like undercraft

Interviewer: Yeah.

Steve: Yeah, we actually caught a little flack for the two hour movie because uh, in the, in the film we weren't wearing jackets and you know, the protective gear was at a minimum because they thought that that it would be cool, but I got pretty razzed on for that.

Clip from movie pilot with Paige and Jason.

Jason: Something wrong with the boat?
Paige: No, I'm taking you up on your challenge.
Jason: My what?
Paige: I'd like to learn to wakeboard.
Jason: But why? Your computer crash or something?
Paige: I'm serious.

Cuts to Paige wakeboarding. After her run, she climbs back onto the boat, all excited.

Paige: (laughs) Oh. (climbing up the boat) Whoo!
Jason: You did it. (pulls her in)
Paige: I know.
Jason: I mean, that was awesome.
Paige: (kisses Jason)
Jason: (laughs)

Cuts to Jason at Wakejam.

Tanya: Good luck. You can beat these guys, I know it.

Cuts to Rudnicki, finished his run.

Rudnicki: Hey bro, I hope you've been practising those sliders, man. They're begging for them out there.
Jason: Yeah, I don't plan to disappoint.

Announcer: And here comes Jason Tanner!

Steve: But yeah, in the, in the first season of the show, we actually have, there's an episode called Wakejam where it's all around a wakeboarding competition and then we get into, uh, my character gets a hold of a, of a Tige 24V. That was a sweet boat.

Cuts back to Jason wakeboarding.

Announcer: And to finish, a hoochie glide!

Steve: My stunt double, who was the wakeboarding stunt double was actually a guy named Duncan Jessiman. He's a, he's a kickass wakeboarder. He did all the ah, the ramp work and the kickers and flyers and all that stuff. And for insurance purposes too, they wouldn't let us do a lot of the rolls and stuff like that. But yeah, there's a few, I've got a few methods in there, and some, and some, a couple shiftings and that kind of stuff.

Announcer: Jason launches a stylish 360. Slider's next. Jason gave it a pass during the preliminary yesterday and during his run earlier today.

Steve: But I want to be able to do a few rolls, I would like to do a, you know, a front side roll, something that, something that's got a little more of a skill level involved, that people will actually go, "Oh okay, this guy's not just a total poser".

Cuts to Jason wakeboarding at Wakejam and everyone cheering.

Announcer: He finishes with an indie grab off the dragon...

Interviewer: Does wakeboarding turn your crank?

Steve: Pardon my french but I fuckin' loved it. (laughs)

Interviewer: Ok. (laughs)

Steve: I got out there and I had such a blast. I didn't want to stop.
