SEASON ONE MOMENTS

 EPISODE 1: STARTING OVER

Paige is about to cross the street, which has just been hosed, when a motorcycle passes and a puddle splashes all over her. She steps back and the cyclists stops and she sees that it's Jason.

Jason: Paige, hey. (turns off engine) Sorry.

Paige: No problem, (looks annoyed)

Jason: I've been looking for you.

Paige: Well, you've found me. (sarcastically)

Jason: I can explain, ok? About Tanya...

Paige: Don't bother, I got the picture.

Jason: What picture?

Paige: Well, she was my brother's favourite playmate of the moment. Now apparently she's yours.

Jason: You don't even know her!

Paige: I think I do (with a laugh). IQ equals room temperature. Hobbies: sex, drugs, rock and roll.

Jason: Fine, see it your way.

Paige: What other way is there to see it?

Jason: That I was helping a friend. Maybe that concept's a little too tough for you to understand. (starts engine)

Jason looks upset and drives off as Paige watches him.

 EPISODE 2: CHEMISTRY LESSONS

Paige is carrying a box filled with clothes outside the Playland Arcade when Jason walks up to her.

Jason: Paige, hey.

Paige glances at him then looks away

Jason: How's it going?

Paige: Hello, (in an icy tone)

A pause

Jason: Have you seen Danny around? He left me a message, something about renovating an apartment?

Paige: He didn't tell me he was going to call you, (irritated)

Paige walks up to Jason and faces him

Jason: So he needs your permission now, does he?

Paige: I'm overseeing the renovation, and actually I was planning on hiring professionals to do the work.

Jason: Wow, 'cause I don't ever remember saying I wanted to work for you.

Paige: Isn't that why you're here?

Jason: No, see that's why I'm walking away.

Jason turns around and leaves. Paige watches as he goes then stalks back into Playland.

The next day, Paige is at Playland.

Paige: What are you doing here? (she walks pass Jason)

Jason: Danny made me come by,

Paige: Talk to Danny,

Jason: Listen, listen, ok? (Jason blocks Paige's path and faces her)
When were together I wasn't leading you on. That thing with Tanya; she needed me. We've been friends for a long time.
Paige looks up at him. A pause

Paige: So you're saying you're not together?

Jason: I'm saying we weren't together when I was with you.

Paige nods and looks hurt.

Paige: Right. Excuse me. (She quickly goes upstairs)

Jason is moving planks of wood in the upstairs apartment of Playland. Paige walks by the room.

Paige: Where's Danny?

Jason: Umm, I don't know. (looks at Paige)

A pause

Jason: Do you want me to come back?

Paige: No, ah, we should get started.

Jason: Okay, umm, so Danny said something about a bookshelf and I thought this stuff might work. (gestures to the planks of wood)

Paige: It's not really what I had in mind. (examines the wood)
Why's it so rough?

Jason: It's salvage from old boats. I mean, it's part of the town's marine history. (shrugs)
And, you know it's...

Paige: Romantic. (nods)

Jason: I was going to say in our price range but... (laughs)

Paige laughs as well. She walks over to take a seat on the planks of wood.

Paige: So I was thinking, maybe, ah, the bookcase could go here. (points to a blueprint)

Jason leans over her shoulder

Jason: Let me see. Oh,

Paige looks nervous with him so close to her. She adjusts her seat.

Paige: Ah, (a small cry of pain)

Jason looks at her

Jason: You alright?

Paige: I'm fine. (holding back pain)

Jason: Ok. That's cool. (taking the blueprint from Paige and getting a closer look then notices the floor)
Hey, look! It looks like pine underneath it. (he pulls at the floor) We should refinish it.

Paige looks at the floor, still holding back the pain of the sliver that has gotten into her bottom.

Jason: You don't think it's worth it? (when Paige doesn't answer)

Paige: Oh, umm, yeah. Expose the pine. Absolutely.

Jason continues looking at the pine underneath as Paige gets up to inspect her sliver.

Phil and Tyler Ellis, Danny's brothers, are using the new cappucino machine at Playland to cook their hotdogs when a whizzing sound begins. Paige breaks away from a conversation she's having just as Jason comes downstairs from the apartment.

Paige: Did you break it? (to the boys)

Jason: What's going on? (looks at Paige as he enters the room)

Paige: The valve should be on off, (she limps to the machine)

Jason: Guys! (runs behind the counter and using a rag, turns off the machine)

Paige: This is a three thousand dollar machine and you're using it to make snacks?

Phil: We didn't get a lunch break.

Jason: Guys. (in disbelief) Come on, that's why they invented microwaves for. Get out of here.

The Ellis brothers leave.

Phil: Traitor. (to Jason)

Paige: Thanks. (to Jason)

Jason: No problem. (smiling at Paige)
I should go.

Paige: Yeah. (smiling)

They both slowly turn away from each other. Lane enters Playland.

Lane: Paige!

Paige: Lane, ugh, take a shower. (backing away from him)

Lane: Okay, look, look. I need some money. Maybe just a... (sees Jason walk by)
You son of a bitch! (to Jason as he lunges towards him)

Lane punches Jason and they start to fight.

Paige: Stop! Are you crazy?

The kids in Playland start to gather around the fight.

Jason: Get off me, man!

Lane: Screw you!

Tyler: Go, Jase.

Phil: Yeah, smoke him, man!

Jason: What's your problem? (as they continue to fight)

Tyler: Go, Jason!

Paige: Lane, stop!

Lane: I know you went to the cops!

Paige: Jason!

Phil: Go, get that fist in there!

Jason pins Lane to the ground as Danny enters Playland.

Danny: What's going on? (breaks up the fight)

Danny pulls Jason off Lane as Paige runs towards Lane.

Paige: He said he didn't do it.

Danny: That's it, everybody out! (glaring at Lane)

Lane: Excuse me, Paige. (turns to Jason) I'm totally screwed! (storms out, knocking the phone off the hook)

Jason and Paige look at each other.

 EPISODE 3: FAMILY PORTRAIT

Paige is going for a morning jog. Jason and Tanya are sleeping on the beach, slowly waking up. Jason touches Tanya and she stirs.

Tanya: Oh, close the curtains.

Jason: Yeah, sorry. No can do.

Tanya: Good morning, (looking up at Jason)

Jason: Hello, (leaning in to kiss her)

Tanya: Rememeber when we used to sleep on the beach when we were kids?

Jason: Yea,

Tanya: This is better. (smiling)

Jason: Yea, (leans in to kiss her again)

Paige is jogging closer towards them and still has not spotted them.

Jason: Hey, remember what else we used to do when we were kids?

Tanya: What? (he doesn't answer) What?

Jason gets onto his feet and pulls her up with him then flips her onto his shoulder. He carries her to the water as she kicks and screams. Paige stops when she sees them laughing and going into the water. She turns around and runs back from where she came from.

Jason is at the marina moving a cooler out of a boat when Paige walks up to him.

Paige: Glad to see Lane didn't do any lasting damage. (standing in front of Jason)

Jason half smiles

Jason: So what's with him and the garbage picking?

Paige: He's trying to stay out of jail.

Jason: Wow, that plus no dessert for a week? (sarcastically)

A pause.

Jason: Look, he's got it all wrong. I didn't talk to the cops.

Paige: I wouldn't have blamed you if you had.

They both look down.

Paige: So, I'm a customer. I need a sailboat. A big one for tomorrow morning.

Jason: Ah, well there's the Meridien but some woman called this morning.

Paige: That was Sarah, my father's assistant.

Jason: Ah. (nods) Of course,

Paige: Sorry about that. She can be a little obsessive when she doesn't get what she wants.

Jason: Really? (pointedly) That must be weird for you.

Paige: Okay, point taken. (smiles)
Look, my father wants to sail the boat. Can you crew for him?

Jason: Sure.

A pause.

Jason: Look, umm. Yeah, I'll have the boat ready for tomorrow morning, okay?

Paige: Thanks, Jason.

Jason: No problem.

They both turn away from each other. Jason goes back to work when Paige turns back around to him.

Paige: Oh, and there'll be a photographer with him.

Jason looks at her and then goes back to work.

Jason, Trevor and the photographer and interviewer return to the marina. She goes over to Jason who's tying up the sailboat.

Paige: How was it?

Jason: You really want to know?

Paige: No. (little laugh)
Thanks.

Jason: No problem.

Trevor approaches Jason and Paige.

Trevor: Look, Sarah's going to take care of the bill, but here's something extra for you. (Trevor hands Jason some money)

Jason: No, no, no that's okay.

Trevor: I insist, I insist. Come on, (giving the money to Jason)

Jason looks at the money in his hand.

Trevor: So you still taking those, uh, what is it, water-skiing lesson? (to Paige)

Jason and Paige glance at each other.

Paige: It's wakeboarding.

Trevor: Wakeboarding? Doesn't sound half as hard as water-skiing.

Jason: Well, actually, the skill level is much more intense. I mean, there's some guys who make, like, six figures on the pro-circuit.

Trevor: Oh wow. So what are you still doing here? (jokes)

Jason and Paige don't smile.

Trevor: Come on, Paige. Let's go.

Paige: See you. (to Jason as she follows her father)

EPISODE 4: GETTING TO KNOW YOU

Danny and Jason are rowing the boat back to the marina because the motor has broken down again. Paige is walking down the pier to pick up Danny for their meeting with the mayor.

Paige: First rule for a successful meeting: Don't keep the mayor waiting.

Danny: Sorry, (stepping off the boat and leaving)

Jason: Naw, it's my fault. The motor blew.

Paige: Again? (concerned)

Jason: Yeah, well. At least it's consistant, right? (with a laugh)

Paige: Can you fix it?

Jason: Yeah. Sure.

Danny: Paige!

Paige: I'm coming. (turning to Danny)
See you. (to Jason as she follows Danny)

Jason: See ya. (throws oar into the boat)

 EPISODE 5: SUMMER SOLSTICCE

Jason and Tanya are walking on the street. Jason isn't beeing attentive to Tanya because he's upset that he can't afford a new boat because his boat is shot. Tanya wants to make plans for the bonfire but Jason is preoccupied so she leaves, irritated. Paige happens to emerge from the store that Jason is standing in front of.

Jason: Hey, (brightening)

Paige: Hi.

Tanya turns around and sees Jason and Paige talking and walks back to them.

Paige: Umm, listen. I decided I want to try wakeboarding again.

Jason: You're a bearer for punishment, huh? (grinning)

Paige: I'd like to book some lessons. (smiling)

Tanya appears and looks at Paige.

Tanya: His boat's shot. (unfriendly)

Jason's smile disappears and looks at Tanya.

Paige: There must be other boats.

Jason: Yea, well all the other boats are outboards, so... they kind of suck for wakeboarding.

Tanya looks smugly at Paige.

Jason: You know, you-- try Mack's Marina. They give lessons too.

Paige: Okay. (checks her cell phone)
I've got it. Thanks. (smiling at Jason)

Paige walks away with Tanya narrowing her eyes at her, then looks at Jason.

Paige is driving a boat she just bought from Mack's Marina to the Marina. It's the same boat that Jason had his eye on that morning. Jason is on the pier trying to instruct her on how to steer it.

Jason: Turn to port. (to Paige as she steers) No, port! (gestures the other way)
No, no okay. Turn left. Left! (looking worried)

Jason is tying Paige's boat to the dock.

Paige: What do you think?

Jason: Are you kidding? It's awesome. (gazing at the boat)
I was just looking at this boat.

Paige: Can I keep it here?

Jason: Yeah, of course.

Paige: Tell you what. You cut me a deal on and I'll let you use it when you want.

Jason: What's going on? (a little suspicious)

Paige: What do you mean?

Jason: Why didn't you just do the lessons with Mack? (looks at her carefully)

Paige: 'Cause, I wanted to do them with you.

Jason: Paige, I'm with Tanya.

Paige: (with a laugh) Wow. Ego much?

Adrian is walking toward them on the pier.

Jason: Can I help you? (to Adrian)

Paige: Umm, actually he's with me.

Adrian stops in front of them.

Paige: Jason, this is Adrian. (gesturing to Adrian)

Jason: Hey,

Adrian: Hi.

A pause.

Paige: So, are we good to go now? (to Jason)

Jason: Yeah, uh. (a little speechless) I'll get the gear.

Jason walks away, leaving Paige and Adrian.

Adrian: So that's your friend.

Paige: Yeah, he's a really good teacher. (smiling as she steps onto the boat)

They're out on the water and Paige gets her wakeboarding lesson first as Jason drives the boat with Adrian beside him. Paige falls repeatedly into the water and the guys laugh.

Jason: You can do it, Paige. Come on!

Paige gets better.

Jason: So what brings you to Falcon Beach?

Adrian: I'm working at the clinic.

Jason: You're the new doctor.

Adrian: (with a laugh) Yeah, that's me.

Jason: Big money, huh?

Adrian: I guess. I'm going to specialize in infectious diseases.

Jason: Yeah?

Adrian: In Africa, malaria accounts for one in five childhood deaths.
So, ah you're a wakeboarder.

Jason: Yeah, I'm heading to the regional championships. You know, after my boat cracked out I thought I was going to drop it. (looks at Paige)
She's moving up. (gesturing to Paige) Let's say we give her a challenge. (with a grin)

Adrian: Sure.

Jason steers the boat faster. Paige is holding strong and then she smiles and waves at them. She loses her balance and falls into the water as the guys laugh. Jason turns the boat around to get Paige.

Adrian: So that was nice of her to get the boat for you.

Jason: No, no it's her boat. You know, she just told me I could use it when... (frowning, he looks at Paige)

Adrian: Oh, I guess I shouldn't have said anything.

Jason looks upset.

Adrian's getting his turn to wakeboard. Jason and Paige are alone on the boat now.

Paige: That was fantastic. (enthusiastically)

Jason: I don't want the boat. (not looking at her)

Paige: What? (confused)

Jason: I'm not a charity case.

Paige: I didn't say that you were.

Adrian looks at the tension between Jason and Paige.

Paige: Jason, the boat is here. Use it.

Jason: Whatever. (ignoring her)

Jason sees Paige sitting alone by the fire on the beach as everyone else is dancing. He comes up and sits beside her.

Jason: Hey.

Paige: Hey.

Jason: Umm, I think I owe you an apology.

Paige: Oh, you think? (sarcastically)

They smile at each other as Adrian looks on.

Paige: I didn't do this just for you.

Jason: I know. I'm going to come up with some way to pay you back, okay?

Paige: You can start with free lessons. (they both laugh)

Jason: Adrian's cool.

Paige: He is. (nodding)
Oh, you may as well keep these at the marina. (handing him the keys to the boat)

Jason: Thank you.

Paige: You're welcome.

They look at each other then Jason nods towards Tanya and gets up.

Jason: See ya.

Paige: See ya.

 EPISODE 6: WAKEJAM

Jason is at the marina when Paige walks up to him.

Jason: Hey.

Paige: Hi. I just came by to wish you good luck tomorrow.
It's a lot of pressure, huh?

Jason: Yeah, well my mom thinks I've found a career or something, Danny's turned into a sports dad and the mayor's laying the whole town pride thing on me.

Paige: Our hero.

Jason: Okay, that's not why I'm doing it.

Paige: So why are you doing it?

Jason: I don't know. (shrugs) See if I can cut it, I guess.

Paige: The only person you have to prove anything to is yourself.

They exchange smiles.

Jason: I couldn't do this without your boat. Thank you.

Paige: You're welcome. (smiling)

Jason: So you're going to come?

Paige: Uh, I'd like to but umm, I have family stuff.

Jason: Sure.

They look at each other then Paige walks away with Jason looking on.

Jason is at WakeJam, watching the other wakeboarders compete as he waits for his turn. He sees Paige making her way over. She waves at him and he smiles back.

Announcer: Jason Tanner is up next! To the docks please, Jason.

Jason takes his board and grins at Paige.

After Jason competes, he immediately goes to Danny who's there to congratulate him on a good run.

Danny: Oh my god! (gives Jason a big hug)
Nice work, man.

Erin: Awesome. You were wicked. (taking his hands for a little hug)

Tanya: Yay! Honey, come here. (kisses Jason)

Tanya and Erin go back to the stands to see the last competitor.

Danny: Come on.

Jason: Hey, (holding Danny back)

Danny: Yeah?

Jason: Did you see Paige around?

Danny: Paige is here?

Jason: Yeah,

Danny: Let's go to our sits.

After Travis is eliminated, Jason is declared the winner. Overwhelmed, he waves politely to the cheering crowd. Tanya kisses him and then he makes his way through the throng of people and breaks into a big smile when he sees Paige, smiling and they lock eyes for a moment.

 EPISODE 7: LOCAL HEORES

The town's people have all congregated to help restore the Dance Hall. The mayor is thanking everyone when Jason drives up to the site.

Mayors: And, as long as we're celebrating, let's have a round of applause for Jason Tanner who will be representing Falcon Beach at the National Wakeboarding Championships.

Everyone applauds and cheers as Jason exits his truck and heads to the crowd towards Danny and Paige.

Danny: How's it going, champ?

Jason: Is this your idea? (not too pleased)

Danny: Thank our esteemed Mayor (pointing to the Mayor)

Mayor: Come on folks, let's get to work.

Everyone breaks off to begin the renovations.

Paige: Hey. (to Jason)
Congratulations on Wakejam.

Jason: Thanks. I was surprised to see you there.

Paige: Yeah, I made it after all.

Jason: So ah, where do I start?

Paige: Oh ah, (checks her cell phone) you two are in Yellow Group. Over there.

Paige walks off and continues checking her phone.

Jason: Yellow Group? (to Danny in disbelief)

Danny: Ours is not to question why. (going to Yellow Group)

Jason: *groans*

Jason and Adrian are inside the Dance Hall helping. Jason approaches Adrian.

Jason: Hiya, doc.

Adrian: Hey, Jason. How you doing?

Jason: Good. You?

Adrian: Can't complain.

A tense pause.

Jason: So, ah yeah. Where do these go? (gestures to planks of wood)

Adrian: Ah, they need to be cut.

Jason: Okay. (helping Adrian lift a plank)

Paige is bringing in some heavy materials as Jason passes by with a wheelbarrel.

Jason: Hey Devon, grab this. (hands the wheelbarrel to Devon)
Thanks, bro.

Jason walks over to Paige.

Jason: Hey. (takes the materials from Paige)

Paige: You're ruining my image.

Jason: What? The cool thing?

Paige: No, I was thinking Superwoman.

Jason laughs as she follows him.

Man: Thanks, Jason. (when Jason brings the materials to him)

Jason: No, problem.
Want a drink? (to Paige)

Paige: Sure. (following him to the refreshments table)

Jason: It's going to be awesome. (takes a cup and fills it)
You and Danny are doing a great thing here.

Paige: We're all doing it. (smiling)

Jason hands the cup to Paige.

Paige: Thanks.

Jason: So ah, I went looking for you at Wakejam. (with a smile)

Paige: Well, I had my cousin Zoe with me.

Jason: Sure.

Paige: You were amazing to watch.

Jason: Yeah, well if Rudnicki hadn't gotten injured...

Paige: Jason. You won. End of story. (smiling)

Jason: Yeah. (bashful) It feels pretty good.
I finally did that slider. It gave me an edge.

Adrian watches Jason and Paige talking, as Zoe walks up to him.

Zoe: Hi, Dr. Keeper.

Adrian: Zoe. How are you doing? You finished your meds? (turns to face her)

Zoe: Yeah.

Adrian: Hey, ah do me a favour tomorrow and drop by the clinic. It's no big deal. I just want to talk.

Zoe: Okay. (forcing a smile)

Adrian turns away from Zoe when he hears Paige laughing. He sees Jason making animated hand gestures as Paige laughs, trying to explain wakeboarding to her.

Zoe: You should have seen him (breaking into Adrian's thoughts)
Showing off at that Wakejam thing. Jocks! (rolls eyes)

Adrian: You went to Wakejam? (curiously)

Zoe: Yeah, with Paige. (with a smile, knowing that Adrian is jealous)

Zoe walks away leaving Adrian to ponder Jason and Paige's friendship as they continue to talk.

Adrian is trying to cut some wood when Jason appears, shirtless.

Jason: Hey. (grabbing a pair of safety goggle)

Adrian: Hey.

Jason: I'll cut, you guide.

Adrian: I'll cut. (quickly)

Jason: Okay. Well, remember to take the safety off.

Adrian: I got it. (annoyed)

The next day, they go back to the site to find that most things were ruined by the storm the night before. Paige yells at the volunteers, causing them to leave. Just then Jason arrive.

Paige: Say it. It's my fault. I was the one who wanted to open the roof.

Danny: No, no. It's your fault we lost our entire work crew because you can't get into your head that people don't like to be treated like dirt! (angrily as he walks away)

Paige stares after him as Danny knocks over a water bucket.

Danny: I'm sick of this! (throwing up his arms as he walks pass Jason)

Jason: So um, I guess this would be a bad time to tell you that I can't help out anymore.

Paige is standing outside the Dance Hall as tears stream down her face. Jason tries to see if they can salvage anything.

Jason: There's not much point in sticking around here. You can't do this alone and I really have to train today. (coming from behind her)
Paige?

Paige wipes her tears. Jason walks over and sees the tears on her face.

Jason: Hey, hey. Look, Danny was just blowing off steam.

Paige: That isn't it.

Jason: So what is it?

Paige turns to face him.

Paige: Everything made sense before I came here. (tearfully)

Jason: For what it's worth, I think you were right. We should keep going.

Paige: This place is a disaster. (looking around)

Jason: Maybe if you tried apologizing.

Paige: I'm an outsider. They won't listen to me.

Jason: You were mad because you want this thing to happen.
People get that.

A pause.

Jason: Look, I'll come with you, okay? We'll get them to come back.

Paige: What about your training?

Jason: It can wait.
Come on. (takes her hand)

Paige: Thanks, Jason.

Jason holds her hand as they go find the others.

The construction site is filled with workers again.

Jason: See? That wasn't so hard. (wheeling a wheelbarrel)

Paige: They came back because of you.

Jason: Whatever.

Paige: Where's Danny?

Jason: He'll show up eventually.

A worker takes the wheelbarrel from Jason.

Worker: Hey.

Jason: Thanks, man.

Jason and Paige see the contractor rushing to leave.

Contractor: If there's any problems you know how to get a hold of me, right? (hurriedly leaving)

Paige: What's going on?

Contractor: I volunteer with the Firefighter Department. There's an emergency at the beach.

Jason: I'll drive.

Contractor: Great. (following Jason)

Paige: I'll come.

EPISODE 9: PAPA WAS A ROLLINGSTONE

Jason walks up to the cottage to look for Paige. He finds himself in a bind when his uncle tells him that he and his mother owe him money and he wants it now.

Paige: Jason. (opening the door for Jason)

Jason: Hey, umm. Paige, can I talk to you?

Jason and Paige are sitting on the couch in the cottage.

Jason: If I enter as many competitions as I can, I'll get more sponsors. But, the money's not going to come in fast enough. My uncle wants to collect now.

Paige: He sounds charming. (dryly)

Jason: Yeah. (softly) You know, I actually used to think so.
Paige, I mean I can't believe I'm sitting here asking you this but I don't know what else to do. We're going to lose the Marina.

Paige: What is it you're asking, Jason?

A pause.

Jason: I need a loan.

Paige: For forty thousand dollars? (with a laugh)

Jason: Look, I know. I'm sorry, this was totally out of line. (getting up)

Paige: No. Just let me think about it, okay?

Jason: God, I wouldn't even ask unless...

Paige: I know. (nodding)

Everyone is inside the newly renovated Dance Hall, waiting for Matt Mays and El Torpedo to perform. Jason enters and spots Paige.

Jason: Hey.

Paige: Hey. (turning around and smiling)
Oh, Jason. Listen, I think I worked something out. There's this fund I can access...

Jason: Oh no, thanks but it's okay. Problem solved: Steve took off.

Paige: He did?

Jason: Yeah. Go figure, right?

A pause.

Jason: Listen, I never should have asked you.

Paige: No, umm. I'm glad you thought you could.

Jason: Paige, I...

Adrian: Hey, Jason (interrupts)

Jason: Heya, doc.

Adrian: I believe your presence is required on stage. (to Paige)

Paige looks at Jason then leaves as Jason and Adrian watch her.

As the band plays, Jason gazes at Paige, who is with Adrian. And continues to watch her as she dances with Adrian.

 EPISODE 11: Desperados

Paige is at Tanya and Erin' place with Erin and Danny. Paige is calling her mom to warn her about Mook. Suddenly Jason and Tanya come in, carrying Lane.

Paige: Mom's still got her cell phone off. (worried)

Door burst open. In come Jason and Tanya with Lane's arm drapped over both of their shoulders.

Paige: Lane! (runs to him)
Are you okay? (taking his hand and helping Jason to bring him to the couch)

Lane: I don't feel so good.

Erin: You guys, don't get blood on the couch! I'll never get the damage deposit back. (leaves the room)

Paige: Mook's holding mom and dad hostage inside the cottage. (telling Lane as they sit on the couch)

Jason: What did you do know? (disgusted)

Tanya: Jason, leave him alone.

Paige: How did you get involved in this? (to Jason)

Jason: Ah, that's a good question. (sarcastically looking at Lane)

Paige: Lane, you have to give Mook the money.

Jason: What money?

Danny: Lane owes Mook thirty thousand dollars. (leaving the room)

Tanya: No, he doesn't! It's Lane's money.

Jason: Why are you defending him?

Paige: The point is, we need to get the money to Mook.

Danny: We? (in disbelief as he returns)

Tanya: He doesn't have it.

Jason: Then go get it.

Lane is trying to pick up some food from a Chineses take-out box. He's having trouble using the chopsticks.

Tanya: Why don't you just ask you parents? Thirty thousand is nothing to them. (to Paige)

Paige: My parents finances are none of your business! (angrily)

Lane can't pick up any food with the chopsticks.

Lane: sighs (everyone looks at him)
What are you looking at? (to Jason)

Tanya: Here, (goes to help him)

Jason: Idiot. (in disgust)

Paige: The bank is open in five hours,

Jason: I'll drive.

Paige: Thanks, (to Jason)

Lane: You guys want to include me in this plan? Huh?
'Cause I'm not going to give up the money.

Paige: You have to. (sternly)
He'll hurt mom and dad.

Tanya: He'll hurt Lane more.

Paige: Who asked you? (snapped)

Lane: I need some water. (getting up)

Tanya: I think I know what's going on with Lane a little better than you do.

Paige: Oh, is that right? (testy)

Jason: You give Mook the money or I go to the cops. (threateningly to Lane)
I saw you sell drugs to Georgie Talis. My testimony will put you in jail.

Lane is pissed off. He turns to look at Tanya.

Tanya: What? (feeling his anger)
What did you do? (to Jason)

Jason: Nothing. Lane and I are going to the bank in the morning. (putting an around Lane)

Lane: Get off me. (brushing Jason's arm off)
The money's not at the bank. It's at the golf course, in my locker.

Paige: Then let's go.

Lane: It doesn't open 'til seven.

Tanya: Well, that's three hours from now and you need some sleep. (helping Lane to her room)

Jason watches as they leave then turns to Danny and Erin.

Early the next morning, Paige is pacing on the front porch of Erin and Tanya's place, as Jason sits at the table.

Paige: I swear, this is the longest night of my life.

Jason: You want to drop by your place? Make sure your parents are okay?

Paige: God no, I don't want to set Mook off.

Jason: Look, he said nine. We'll be there. This is all going to work out, Paige.

Jason kicks a chair and motions for her to sit down beside him.

Jason: Come on, sit down.

Paige hesitantly sits down.

Jason: Hey, so uh, I heard you got accepted. That's awesome.

Paige: Yeah. (nods) Thanks. (not much enthusiasm)

Jason: You know, I've never known anyone who went to Harvard before.

Paige: It's not such a big deal.

Jason: Yeah it is.

A pause.

Paige: Does it bother you seeing Tanya with Lane?

Jason: Kind of... not, not like that. I mean, just because, no offense but your brother's a walking disaster.

Paige: It's hard to argue with. (matter of factly)

Jason: How are things going with you and Adrien?

Paige: It's over.

Jason: I'm sorry. (a pause then smiles)
That's such a total lie.

Paige looks at him.

Paige and Jason come into the house to find Tanya and Lane kissing. Jason coughs and they break apart.

Jason: You ready? (to Lane)

Lane: Yup. (following Paige and Jason to the car) Tanya watches Lane leave.

Jason, Paige and Lane are in Jason's truck. They pull up front of the golf course and all get out.

Lane: I'll be back in five.

Jason: No, no, no. We're coming in with you.

Lane: Oh, come on! What? You think I'm going to take the money and run?

Paige: Lane! We have to get the money to Mook. (sternly)

Lane: I know! (irritated) I know, okay (softer)
Believe it or not I actually do care what happens to mom and dad.

A police car pulls up beside them.

Lane: Oh, what now? (exasperated)

Officer Kotch: Morning, sorry to interrupt your golf game. (walking towards them) You found him. (to Paige) You should have called me.

Paige: We worked everything out.

Officer Kotch: Well, I need to take you in for that statement. (to Lane)

Lane: No, not going to happen.

Paige: We're late officer, so if you don't mind...

Officer Kotch: Went by your cottage.

Paige turns around and faces him.

Paige: Was everything okay there? (concerned)

Officer Kotch: If you're worried about Mook, don't be. He's uh, been taken care of. If you don't mind coming with me, (to Lane)

Lane: I have nothing to say.

Paige: Yes, you do.

Jason: One of us is going to talk to the cops. If it's not you, it's me.

Lane glares at Jason. A pause. Lane follows the Officer as Jason and Paige watch them enter the police car.

Jason: Should we go in and get the money?

Paige: How? We don't have the combination.
I'd better get home. Drive slowly. We'll have to figure out a way to explain last night to my parents.

They head back into the truck.

Paige and Jason are parked outside Erin and Tanya's house.

Paige: Jason, I don't know how to thank you.

Jason: For what?

Paige: Being there for me.

A pause.

Jason: I can't think of a single place I'd rather be.

A pause. They look at each other then Jason leans over and kisses her. They kiss but then Paige pulls away.

Paige: I won't do this.

Jason: But I thought you broke up with Adrian. (confused)

Paige: That's not it.

Jason: So what is it then?

Paige: It's you. And me. I'm not going there again.

Jason: Come on, you have to at least give us a chance.

Paige's cell phone rings. She picks it up.

Paige: Lane?

Lane's voice: Mook was waiting.

Paige: What?

Cuts to Mook and Lane at the bar on the other line.

Mook: Get to the point.

Lane: I need you to go to the club and get the money. It's in locker number twenty-three.

Paige: okay, uh, give me the combination.

Lane: It's my birthday.

Mook laughs.

Lane: The money's in a duffel bag. Bring it to the Interlake.

Paige: Where's that?

Lane: Tanner will no. Just...

Mook: You're done. (taking the phone and turning if off)

Cuts back to Paige and Jason in the truck. Paige turns off her phone.

Jason: What's going on?

Paige: Mook's got Lane. We have to get the money.

Jason looks upset and slowly starts the car.

Jason: Right.

Paige: Fine! I'll go by myself. (starting to open the car door).

Jason: No! (pulling her door shut)
Paige, come on. (starts car engine)

Jason and Paige are at the golf club, Paige is trying unsuccessfully to open Lane's locker.

Jason: You sure it's February 6?

Paige: He is my brother. I was at the birthday parties. (still trying the combination) Come on!

Jason: Seriously, did you hire someone to do this for you in highschool?

Paige: You think you can do better? (irritatedly stepping away from the locker)

Jason: Yeah. (walking off)

Paige's cell phone rings. She picks it up.

Paige: Hello?

Mook's voice: Where's my money?

Paige: Let me talk to my brother.

Mook: No. You've got fifteen minutes to get here. (hangs up phone)

Paige turns off phone as Jason comes back with a golf club. He bangs it against the lock a few times and it pops open and he opens the locker. He takes out Lane's duffel bag. Paige takes it from him and unzips it and pulls out some rolled up wads of cash.

Jason: Wow. So that's what thirty thousand dollars looks like, huh?

Paige: Let's go.

Jason and Paige rush out the club.

Jason and Paige pull up in front of the bar.

Jason: Alright, you wait here.

Paige: You're joking, right? (in disbelief)

Jason sighs and looks towards the bar then back at her.

Jason: Okay, remember, Mook doesn't care about us. He just wants the money.

Paige: Right.

They exit the car and head inside with the duffel bag.

Paige: Lane, (rushing towards Lane but is stopped by Mook)

Mook: Put it there (to Jason, pointing to the duffel bag)

One of Mook's lackeys' takes the bag.

Jason: It's all there, man. (glaring at Mook)

The lackey dumps the money out as Mook continues to look at Jason with interest. Looks over to the money then turns to Lane.

Mook: Get the hell out of here.

Jason and Paige head over to help Lane out.

Paige: Friend of yours? (to Jason)

Jason: No.

Paige: You alright? (to Lane as they carry him out of the bar)

Lane: Yeah.
See you around, Mook.

Mook continues to look at Jason as Jason gives him one last look.
As they exit, police cars arrive and officers enter the bar. Mook is arrested.

Officer: That's evidence. (to Lane as he tries to take the duffel bag back)

Lane: What, you're arresting me? (as the Officer cuffs him)

Officer: That's right.

Lane: What are the charges?

Officer: Don't worry about it. I'll think of something.

Lane: I want a lawyer. I want a lawyer!

Paige: You can't be serious! Kotch handed him over to Mook.

Officer: I know, Officer Kotch has been relieved of duty. I may need to speak to you later on. (to Paige and Jason)

Jason: Okay.

Paige: Lane! (as Lane is put into the police car)

Lane: Jason! Tell Tanya I'm sorry.

Paige looks over to Jason who puts a hand on her shoulder. They stand there are the police cars begin to drive away.

 EPISODE 12: Reckless Love

Paige is getting ready to visit her father when she hears a knock at the door and answers it.

Paige: Jason.

Jason: Hey. (grins)

Paige: Uh, I'm just going out. (walks away from the door)

Jason: Ah, okay well, I'll be quick. Um, look my sponsor is shooting this video tomorrow and I thought maybe you might want to come along; ride in the boat. (moving towards her)

Paige knows what Jason is hitting towards.

Paige: I don't think so.

Jason: Come on, it'll be fun. And then maybe afterwards... we can hang out.

Paige: I told you, I'm not interested in getting involved with you again.

Jason: I'm just asking you to come ride in your boat.

A pause. Jason gives Paige an 'innocent' smile.

Paige: I'll come on the understanding that it's just as friends.

Jason: Why don't you be really daring and try playing without the rules for once? (challenges)

Paige: I have a better idea. How about I don't play at all?

Jason: Right. Um, okay. Find, have it your way. (grinning playfully as he leaves)

Paige stands there contemplating what Jason just said.

Paige is at the Sunset Bar with Adrian.

Paige: So, Maria left.

Adrian: Yeah, she agreed to the divorce.

Paige: Adrian, I'm really sorry about how we left things.

Adrian: Me too. I'd like to think we could at least come out of this as friends.

Paige: I hope so. (nods)

They exchange smiles.

Paige: You know, there was never anything going on between Jason and I.

Adrian: Paige, I'm not saying you were cheating but that doesn't mean that there was nothing going on.

Paige: There wasn't. And there's never going to be.

Adrian grins.

Adrian: Okay. (amused)

Adrian looks up and notices Jason coming into the bar with his sponsor, Alex.

Adrian: So then it won't bother you that he just walked in with a totally hot babe right now?

Paige turns around and sees Jason with Alex.

Alex: You want to sit here?

Jason: Yeah.

Alex: I'll go get...(inaudible as she touches his shoulder)

Jason: Okay. (heads for the bar)
Can I get a couple of beers?

Paige turns back around to Adrian, obviously bothered by this.

Paige: Why should it bother me?

Adrian smiles, amused at Paige's denial. Focus shifts on Alex and Jason.

Alex: You're different than a lot of the other boarders that I work with.

Jason: Oh yeah?

Alex: Yeah, you dial back the ego. It's attractive.

Jason: You mean so people would buy your products.

Alex: What else would I mean? (smiles flirtatiously)

Jason grins as the focus goes back to Paige who looks over to Alex and Jason then turns away, pretending not to care.

Alex: Mmm, somebody's jealous. (teases)

Jason looks over at Paige.

Jason: You think?

Alex: I love being the other woman.

Jason and Alex laugh.

Alex: To a successful relationship, cheers. (toasts)

Jason: Cheers.

Paige watches them and starts to get up.

Paige: Would you excuse me? (to Adrian as she heads for the bar)

Jason notices Paige going to the bar.

Jason: Excuse me for a minute? (to Alex)

Alex: Yeah, go for it.

Jason goes up to the bar.

Jason: Hey, can I get a couple of shooters?
Hey. (to Paige as she walks by)
You and Adrian patch things up?

Paige: We're friends.

Jason: A lot of that going around, huh? (pointedly)

Paige: Yeah. (looks over to Alex)
I see you've made a new friend.

Jason: Who, Alex? She's my sponsor. It's a business meeting.
You know, talking about what's on tap after Nationals. That sort of thing. (non chalantly)

Paige: With Alex? (skeptical)

Jason: You know, you two have a lot in common.

Paige: Like what?

Jason: Business. (shrugs)

Paige: Well, you better not keep her waiting. It's already half-past cougar.

Jason: Oh. (grins)
So uh, see you tomorrow morning?

Paige: I'll think about it. (walks away)

Alex and Jason are at the marina, ready to shoot the demo video.

Alex: Great boat.

Jason: Yeah, this is it.

Alex: Yeah, this is going to be fun. (stops to eye Jason)
That shirt has never looked better.

Jason smiles then helps Alex into the boat as Paige walks down the pier, towards them.

Paige: Good morning.

Jason: Hey, glad you could make it.
Umm, Paige. Alex. Alex, Paige.

Alex: Hey. (giving her a nod)

Paige: Hi. (with little enthusiasm)
Got room for one more? (to Jason)

Before Jason could answer, Alex interjects.

Alex: Uh, I think we should really stay focused on the shoot today. (to Jason)

Jason: Umm well, actually it's her boat.

Paige turns to look at Alex.

Alex: Ah, well in that case, the more the merrier.

Alex starts taking off her top to reveal a purple bikini as Jason watches speechless. Paige looks at him aand then gets on the boat.
They head out and Jason wakeboards as the crew video tapes him.

Alex: Yes! (cheers)

Kyle: Go!

Alex: Look at him go.

Paige: (cheers)

Alex: Take it right here as he finishes. (instructing the camera man)

Paige: Come on, Jason!

Alex: (chuckles as Jason does his rolls)

Kyle: Yes!

Paige: Whoo!

Alex: Okay, I need to see a 360.

Kyle makes a sign to Jason to do a 360.

Alex: Yeah, stay on him. (to camera man)

Paige: Go, Jason!

Jason does a 360 spin.

Alex: Yeah, that looks great.

Kyle: That was very nice. (after Jason does a roll)

Alex: That was better than nice. Think we got a winner.

Kyle: Watch this! (as Jason does more rolls)
He's the man now.

Alex: Sure is.

Paige gives Alex a look.

The shoot is over and Jason's on the dock looking at his knee as Alex apporaches him. Paige is standing nearby talking on her cell phone.

Alex: Jason, you were brilliant! (giving him a big hug, he holds back)

Jason: Wow, careful. I'm wet.

Alex giggles as Paige looks on, obviously annoyed.

Paige: Okay. (to her cell phone)

Alex: Let's do dinner tonight and celebrate. (resting her hands on his chest)

Jason: Sounds good.

Alex: Okay. (leaves)

As Alex walks off, Jason looks over at Paige who is finishing her phone call.

Paige: Bye. (switches off cell phone)

Jason: Wow, so that Alex, she's really something, eh? (as Paige brushes pass him)

Paige: I'll say. (not looking back)

Jason: Paige! You can't be mad.

Paige turns around and faces him.

Paige: All that woman has to do is bat her eyelashes for you to fall all over her.

Jason: Why should you care? We're just friends, remember?

Paige: I'm trying to forget.

Paige walks off to her car.

Jason is at Alex's motel room, waiting for her to get ready so they can go out to dinner. Alex emerges from the bathroom, all dressed up.

Alex: So, how do I look? (seductively)

Jason: You look great. (smiling)

Alex moves in on Jason.

Alex: Jason, I'm not going to bite. (leans into him)
Unless you want me to.

Jason: Alex, I don't want you to get the wrong idea. (uncomfortable)

Alex: Yeah? What idea would that be?

Alex and Jason kiss but then Jason pulls away.

Jason: Uh. (with a laugh) Look Alex, believe me, I really want to do this but... I can't.

Alex: Is it because of Paige? (ready to kiss him again)

Jason: Yeah, I guess it is. (seriously)

Alex: So you guys hooked up or what?

Jason: More like, or what?

Alex laughs in disbelief.

Alex: You know, I'm not so hungry anymore.

Jason: Sure. Okay, whatever. (heading for the door)

Alex: And it's too bad, guess we're going to have to wait until Nationals to talk about that salary.

Jason: Yeah, guess we will.

Paige is sitting in her car with her dad in front of Alex's motel room. Paige is dropping off her dad who is staying in the room next door.

Trevor: She lied to me.

Paige: Mom wouldn't lie. I just think she's looking for something. I think that's what coming back to the cottage was all about.

Trevor: (sighs) That damn cottage.

Paige: You want me to come in?

Trevor: I think I'm in for another night. (looks at her gratefully)
I love you.

Paige: I love you too, dad.

They hug and give each other a peck as he exits the car.

Trevor: 'Night.

Paige watches him leave as she contemplates her parents' situation. She starts the car and is about to pull out when she sees Jason exiting a motel room.

Jason: Hey.

Paige, upset, pulls out and drives off quickly. Jason quickly puts on his motorcycle helmet and hops onto his motorcycle.

Jason: Paige! Paige, wait!

Jason drives off after her.

Paige has parked her car by the beach and has gotten out and has begun running down the beach. Jason arrives and chases after her.

Jason: Paige! (gets off morotcycle)
Paige, wait up! (catches up to her)

Paige is crying, trying to get away from him.

Jason: Hey, Paige! Paige! (taking her hand so that she faces him)
Look, look, nothing happened with Alex.

Paige: Please Jason, just leave me alone! (tearfully)

Jason: Okay, fine. But first, just listen to me, okay?
I was alone in that motel room with this total fox and all she wanted to do was rip my clothes off.

Paige: Spare me the details!

Jason: Just listen! I was alone with this woman and all I could think about was you.

Paige: I really don't care.

Jason: If you don't care, then why are you crying?

Paige: Of all the arrogant, conceited...(covers her face with her hands)
Ugh, I'm crying because I had a plan! A perfectly good plan and this whole summer has been just one insane thing after the another that I don't understand. And that includes you.

Jason looks at her and begins to pull her towards him.

Paige: No... (trying to resist but gives in)

They start kissing on the beach and later they have sex.

 EPISODE 13: Summer's Over

Jason and his mom are at the marina. Workmen are there to build a new dock for the marina. Paige arrives.

Peggy: Just give me a sec, okay? (to a workman and hands him his clipboard)

She walks over to Jason.

Peggy: They want a check. It's almost nine hundred bucks.

Jason: I've got it covered. Wave Crasher paid me for the video.

Peggy: Well, what about the hardware labour? (worried)

Jason: There will be more money coming in after Nationals.

Paige arrives and gets out of her car.

Paige: Is that for the new dock? (gesturing to the piles of wood)

Peggy: Don't ask me why we're building it now.

Jason: So it's set up for the spring, mom.

Peggy: Okay, (laughs)

Jason: So, you ready to ride? (to Paige)

Paige: Yeah, (smiling)

Peggy: I thought you were training with Kyle this morning?

Jason: Later. Right now I'm giving Paige a lesson.

Peggy: Oh. (smiles at Paige)

Jason: Go! (to his mom)

Peggy: Okay, have fun (pretending to be offended as she leaves)

Jason and Paige kiss.

Paige: Sure this is okay with your mom?

Jason: Mmm... what do you mean? Making out? Cause, I mean, I could go back and ask her if you want? (jokes)

Paige laughs and pulls him closer.

Paige: Not so fast... (they kiss)

Jason and Paige are out by the water. Jason is driving the boat as Paige wakeboards.

Jason: Go for it, Paige!

Paige: Whoo hoo! (as she boards)

Jason gives her a thumbs up sign as she keeps afloat. Paige keeps a hold and lets out a little cry trying to keep her balance.

Jason: Hey! You just commit suicide. (making a swerving hand gesture to her)

Paige loses control and then falls into the water. Jason watches her then dives into the water. He swims up to her and carries her in the water as they kiss.

Paige is walking down the dock of the marina to tell Jason some good news.

Paige: Hey.

Jason: Hey.

Paige: Guess what my father told me?

Jason: What? (concerned)

Paige: That he's setting up a new business here. (smiling)
He wants me to work for him next summer.

Jason forces a smile, trying to get over his own problems with his knee.

Jason: Oh yeah? That's great. (smiling curtly)

Paige: You don't sound too thrilled that I'm coming back. (jokes)

Jason: No, no, are you kidding? (recovering)
Of course I am. (smiling)

Paige: You okay? (looking at him carefully)

Jason: Yeah, never been better. (forcing a smile)

Paige: Want to come over to my place when you're done? (letting his odd behaviour slide)

Jason: Yeah, sure. (smiling)

Paige smiles at him and then leaves. Jason's smile disappears as he watches her walk away.

Jason and Paige are lying intertwined on the couch at the cottage, kissing. Slowly, Jason pulls away from her.

Paige: What's wrong? (concerned)

Jason: (deep breath) It's just... last time I was here I was asking you for money.

Paige: Right, uncle Steve.

Jason: I can't believe I did that. (regretfully)

Paige: You were trying to save the marina for your father, I got that. (undestandingly)

Jason: Lately I feel like I understand him a lot better, you know?

Paige: Mmm... even with all his flaws I don't know what I would do without my father.

A pause as Jason looks at Paige intently.

Jason: Hey. How about you coming with me to Nationals next weekend?

Paige: (smiles) I wouldn't miss it.

Jason: Yeah? You got time?

Paige: (smiles) Yeah. I have to go to Boston on Tuesday to register, but I'll book my ticket and I'll fly out from there for the weekend.

Jason: No, no, no. I'm buying your ticket.

Paige: I need the air miles.

Jason: Paige. Look, I've got a little money right now and if we're going to be together, it's got to be as equals.

A pause as Paige looks at Jason seriously then she breaks into a smile.

Paige: Okay.

Jason: (smiles) Cool.

Paige: You have to come visit me in Boston.

Jason: I can't wait.

Paige leans in and kisses Jason.

Paige: Come on. (gets off the couch and takes his hand)
Come on. (tugs his arm)

Jason: Uh, Paige. Should we be doing this here?

Paige: Hmm... Mom's out with her boyfriend, Lane's in jail, my father's been banished.

They make their way to the stairs.

Paige: I think we are alone. (smiling as she leans him up the stairs)

Suddenly there's a knock on the door.

Paige: (sighs) I had to jinx it.

Paige leaves Jason at the stairs and goes to answer the door. She's surprised to find Tanya at the door.

Tanya: Hi.

Paige: Hi.

Jason approaches the door, equally surprised to see Tanya.

Jason: Tanya? What are you doing here?

Tanya: I went to see Lane and he asked me to come by and pick up some of his clothes.

Paige: His room's upstairs. (gesturing to the stairs)

Tanya: Thanks, I'll just be a minute. (as she enters the cottage and heads for Lane's room)

Jason and Paige watch her and then exchange looks.

Paige approaches Danny and Erin at the End of Summer Corn Roast.

Danny: Hey.

Paige: Hi. (distraught)

Danny: What's wrong?

Paige: Uh, nothng. (quickly) Have you, have you seen Jason?

Danny: Umm no. But he said he'd be here so...

Paige turns away from them then sees Jason on the pier and heads over to him. Adrian watches sadly as Paige walks off to Jason.
Jason is standing on the pier, holding his father's gold medal with tears in his eyes. He throws it into the water as Paige approaches him.

Paige: Jason, something's happened. It looks like I may not be coming back here next summer after all.

Jason slowly faces her and she notices the tears in his eyes.

Paige: What's wrong? (concerned)
What are you doing out here?

Jason: I'm not going to Nationals.

Paige: Jason, you have to go to Nationals.

Jason: I don't know what I was trying to prove! I mean, like wakeboarding could ever change the fact that I'm stuck here, just like my old man!

Paige: Don't say that! (quickly, as tears form in her eyes)

Jason: Paige, this isn't going to work. I mean, with us.

Paige: I want it to. (tearfully)
It's just everything's so complicated.

Jason: No, it's really not that compicated. I don't belong in Boston and you don't belong here.

Jason turns around and starts walking further down the pier when Paige calls him.

Paige: Jason! You haven't even started to figure out where you belong. (sadly)

Jason looks painfully at her before turning around and continuing his way down the pier. Paige with tears continuing to flow, turns around and walks away.

Paige and Ginny are standing by the driveway of the cottage. Paige is saying goodbye to her mother, who is moving in with Alan for a while. Paige is on her way to Boston and has decided not to come back to Falcon Beach as long as her father is keeping her mother away from the cottage.

Paige: I understand why you love this place.

They exchange smiles.

Ginny: You wait. I'm getting it back.

Paige: I'm not coming back here.

Ginny gives her a questioning look.

Paige: Not as long as Dad is keeping you away.

Ginny: I don't want you to take sides.

Paige: He's left me no choice.

Ginny: Have I told you recently how proud I am of you?

Paige: (smiles) Have I ever told you how proud I am of you?

They smile at each other and then Ginny pulls Paige into a big hug.

Ginny: Thank you. (filled with emotion)

Paige: (a little laugh)

Ginny: Alright, you drive safe. Promise?

Paige: I will.

Ginny notices Jason running up to the cottage. He stops when he sees Ginny and Paige hugging. Ginny pulls away from Paige and looks at her.

Ginny: Call me when you get there?

Paige nods, smiling. Ginny touches Paige's cheek and smiles.

Ginny: I love you.

Paige: I love you, mom.

Ginny turns to walk to her car and Paige stands there watching. As Ginny leaves, Jason approaches Paige. Hearing the sound of his footsteps, Paige turns around. They smile at each other.

Jason: So, did we break up last night? (jokes)

Paige: (smiling) Yeah, I think we did.

Jason laughs.

Jason: I just came by to tell you that I decided to go to Nationals, anyway.

Paige: What made you change your mind?

Jason: I suppose you want me to tell you, you did.

Paige: Like I could change anything about you. (jokes)

Jason: (seriously) Paige, you changed everything about me.

Paige looks at him intently before moving in closer as they kiss.

Paige: Bye.

Jason: Bye.

Paige walks over to her car and gets in. Just as she pulls out, Jason calls her.

Jason: Paige!

Paige: What?

Jason shrugs, getting misty eyed.

Jason: Come back. (smiles)

Paige smiles at him then gives a little laugh. They exchange one last look before she pulls out. Jason stands there sadly as he watches her leave.
