Summer Fun
The series is shot in the quaint town of Winnipeg Beach. "Although you're working, you're still enjoying your summertime," Kydd says.

"I had to learn to wakeboard for the pilot and it was a bit of an experience," she says. "I swallowed half of the Red River day one, which as I've heard from the locals, is not a good thing."

Getting Hooked
"I think it's a great ensemble cast," she says. "I think people are going to care about what happens to these characters, see where they're going, see how they end up, who they end up with, I know that's what I'm interested in."

The Early Days
"I used to tape TV shows and write out the script - that's really cheesy, I guess I had too much spare time - and practice it," she says. "I'm probably the only weirdo that came up with that one."
